	ADN is concerned on the global warming issues and endorses the world commitment to ensure environmental sustainability under Millennium Development Goals. While ADN works to ensure that its activities take care of surrounding environment, it also helps communities to preserve the water sources, spread awareness on the importance of forests and their preser- vation in the forest rich areas of AJ& K. ADN formed Environment Committees in 519 schools of Muzaffarabad, Neelum and Bagh comprising students and tea- chers to retain better environment inside schools by preserving trees, cleanliness of schools and disposal of solid waste. ADN has protected 279 water sources by constructing water tanks and safe boundaries around the springs.
